I can’t emphasise enough how psyched I am for The Corrections. Maggie Gyllenhaal is a rouge element, but Greta Gerwig, Rhys Ifans, Ewan McGregor, Chris Cooper and Dianne Wiest (plus Franzen’s novel, Baumbach, HBO and Rudin producing)? Yes please!

I’ve never read the book (it’s sitting on my shelf to read but just haven’t got there yet) but the cast and the network is reason enough. Baumbach worries me slightly, I loved Squid and the Whale but hated Margot at the Wedding… his best screenplays tend to be with Wes Anderson (Fantastic Mr Fox and Life Aquatic)… I’m interested to check this out when it arrives but I’m a little tentative as well.
