After what has been the worst season this far of The Office how can anyway honestly believe that a spin-off is a good idea?
I assume that with NBC’s many comedies imploding or with low ratings- and with The Office winding down- they’re hoping to build on the popularity of Dwight to create a solid ratings winner. I doubt it’ll work (too much Dwight could be infuriating), but if done right, it’d go well with Parks and Rec (providing it sticks around Schrute Farm).
I haven’t watched The Office since S5, but maybe a new setting and cast would be good for Dwight?
That makes sense… I’d like to believe it could work ala Frasier and be as successful and long running as it’s original show and I hate to be the internet critic who instantly poo-poos ideas simply because they sound stupid but I really have no idea what that show would look like even if they did stay more at Schrute farms… Although your suggestion that it would look a little Parks and Rec-ish sounds incredible.
