Treme‘s Danai Gurira (also of The Visitor) has joined The Walking Dead. She will portray the “sword-wielding” Michonne.

The first promotional image for The CW’s upcoming Green Arrow project, Arrow, has a decidedly darker edge than the network’s typical fare.

NBC has renewed Grimm for a second season.

Kat Foster (Weeds, ‘Til Death) will play Zachary Levi’s wife in Fox’s comedy Let It Go.

BBC America is co-producing the BBC crime series Ripper Street from writer Richard Warlow (Mistresses, Waking the Dead). The series will be set in post-Jack-the-Ripper London, and is shooting now in Dublin with Matthew Macfadyen (Pride and Prejudice, Death at a Funeral), Jerome Flynn (Game of Thrones’ Bronn), Adam Rothenberg (Mad Money), Myanna Buring (The Descent, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1) and David Dawson (Luther, The Thick of It) starring.

Matthew Rhys (Brothers & Sisters) has snagged the male co-lead alongside Keri Russell in FX’s drama fom Joe Weisberg and Graham Yost (Justified), The Americans.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia actress Mary Elizabeth Ellis has booked a three-episode guest stint on New Girl, reprising her role as Nick’s ex-girlfriend Caroline.
